Jim Wilson (The Father) ditched his city life of Huntington, WV in 1994 and along with his wife, Betty, and family pets, moved to the rugged, remote mountains of Randolph County, WV.
 
Jim and Betty joined Snowshoe Mountain Resort’s Courtesy Patrol in 1994, and are still patrolling as of this book’s publication.
 
Jim fishes and writes the rest of the year. He has been an active member of the OWAA (Outdoor Writers Association of America) since 1993 and has been published in Wonderful West Virgina and Goldenseal magazines.
 
He still writes a column, the Country Store Corner, for the Webster Echo and also other regional outdoor publications.The Abbagoochie Gotcha is Jim’s 4th published book.

Jim Wilson (The Son) lives with his daughter, Chyanna, alongside the Tygart Valley River in Belington, WV. Their pets Hickory, Duke, Maizy, Santa Paws, Curie and Trapper are kind enough to let them live in their house.

Jim has been a counselor for over 20 years and currently works part-time in that capacity in Buckhannon, WV. He and his daughter enjoy fishing, camping and riding motorcycles.
 
The Hoax That Wasn't is his first attempt at writing a book. It was spawned by painful real-life events which ultimately led to incredible discoveries...
 
Jim and his daughter operate their eBay Stores together and travel on their Harley Davidson chopper regularly pursuing the eradication of the Abbagoochies...
